When I decided to step back in to my weight loss journey again, I decided to take a different approach.
I always used to work out quite heavily, and would hit the gym at least 4 times per week. But I had sustained so many reoccurring injuries over the years, that I decided this time I would just rely on walking.
I’ve always enjoyed walking, and endorsed it for its health benefits, but never used it as my primary choice of movement for weight loss. So I knew that I needed to strategise it, if I were to use it as a tool.
15 weeks of doing this (and not a piece of equipment in sight), and I’ve lost 1stone 1lbs from just walking, and my nutrition plan.
My body feels stronger, I’ve not suffered a single injury, and I feel mentally and physically at the top of my game.
And the beautiful thing is, it’s sustainable to my lifestyle (and doesn’t cost anything).
I decided to include ‘walking the weight off’ In my plan, as it’s a powerful and effective tool.
But I think the main point to consider here, is that most people put off starting a weight loss journey, out or the fear that they will be required to join a gym, or start workouts beyond their capabilities. When sometimes it’s as simple as stepping to success.
