Numerous and extensive studies have been carried out over many years on people of all ages, economical backgrounds, and destinations to discover the common denominators in those that achieved permanent weight loss.
These studies all showed one main fundamental factor-
Those that lost weight, and MAINTAINED those losses for life, went through a profound and significant mindset transformation. This involved overhauling beliefs, modifying habits, healing past trauma, and releasing themselves from negative mental cognitive associations to weight loss.
Basically in layman’s terms- permanent weight loss requires a strategy that is 20% nutrition and movement (your average slimming group), and 80% a process of psychological change.
So in the past, when you’ve failed to achieve your weight loss goal, and maintain it, it wasn’t because (as the slimming club leaders love to say- ‘you went wrong’), or you didn’t work hard enough.
It was that you had not been given the correct tools for psychological change.
And I know for most, the thought of psychological change is so overwhelming that it can cause them to run in the other direction. BUT!! (And stick with me here, it’s worth it), I have simplified this process by taking these findings, studying the solution and strategised it by formulating it into ‘Foundational keys to weight loss success’.
