The biggest shift in my mentality during my weight loss journey, came from being a person that wished for it, to a person that worked for it.

I used to wish so hard for self-control, motivation and progress. I wished with every fibre of my being. But it never made that much of a difference. Not long term anyway.

I realised that in order to really achieve significant success I had to stop wishing, and start working.

No-one was going to come in and take control of my life for me, no-one would give me the motivation that I needed. There wasn’t going to be a divine intervention that changed everything.

The only way things would change is if I worked at it, and that’s what I did, every single day.

And I can’t pretend it hasn’t been hard, but it has definitely been worth it.
